In the middle of the white band is a blue navy disc surrounded by a saffron ring. There are 24 spokes in the white disc. There is a white star on top of the disc, and a white crescent below it that curves slightly to the left. The flag is known as Tiranga or Tricolor. India's national flag consists of three horizontal stripes of equal width-saffron, white, and green-with a white moon and stars in the white band, and a blue navy disk with 24 spokes in the center of the white band.
